Personal data protection information pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679
We inform you that the EU Regulation 2016/679 concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data has been in force since 25 May 2018.
The Municipality of Bari illustrates below how it will use the data concerning citizens, including those provided by them, and what rights are recognized by EU Regulation 2016/679.
Personal data – including those attributable to particular categories, collected in compliance with specific legal provisions – will be processed by the Municipality of Bari exclusively for the institutional purposes established by the Community and national regulations, by its Statute and by the municipal regulations adopted in accordance with art. 3 of the legislative decree n. 267/2000, to provide services or perform functions directly connected to these purposes or to ensure compliance with legal obligations. Additional specific information is being prepared for individual activities and individual services.
In some cases, the provision of some data is optional: in these circumstances, citizens will be specifically informed about the effects of not giving consent to the processing.

Personal data is also processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. The Municipality of Bari implements appropriate measures to ensure that personal data is processed appropriately and in accordance with the purposes for which they are managed and employs appropriate security, organisational, technical and physical measures to protect information from alteration, destruction, loss, theft or improper or illegitimate use.
The owner of the processing of personal data is the Municipality of Bari, with headquarters in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 84, 70122 – Bari (Italy), which will keep your data exclusively for the period indicated by the regulations that regulate its institutional activities.
The citizen has the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the same data and/or verify its use. You also have the right to request, in the forms provided for by law, the rectification of inaccurate personal data and the integration of incomplete ones; in the cases indicated by the regulation, without prejudice to the special discipline envisaged for some treatments, you can also request the cancellation of the data, once the envisaged storage terms have elapsed, or the limitation of the treatment; the opposition to the treatment, for reasons connected to one’s particular situation, is permitted unless there are legitimate reasons for the continuation of the treatment.
